The Backyardigans were created by Janice Burgess and debuted on Nick Jr in 2004. The characters were designed by Dan Yaccarino, a children's book author and illustrator. The animated children's TV series is a robust, 3D rendered, CGI creation produced by Nelvana, a Canadian animation studio. Each character is known for singing and dancing each episode.
